Think the SUV is dead? Tell that to Audi

Worried about Miles Per Gallon, or the height of your automobile? Think you don’t need all-wheel drive to commute from the suburbs to the soccer field? Audi disagrees, tells you to stop being such a worry-wort, and thinks all this hype of a “small car revolution” is nothing but hot air. Audi loved showing off their 2009 Q5 SUV at 2008’s Beijing Auto Show - take a look for yourself below, and decide of that Prius is really worth it.

The Q5 features am impressive (and not overly gas-guzzling, at least for an SUV) 3.2-liter V-6 giving the driver 270 hp and 243 lb feet of torque. A six-speed transmission directs the V-6’s power throughout this Audi Quattro all- wheel drive vehicle. In Europe, Audi lovers will have the chance to purchase a diesel engine Q5, but sorry North America, you’re left out of that option.

Expect to see Audi Q5’s on the streets of North America by the Spring of 2009.
