Ronin

With an all star cast including Robert “Bobby” DeNiro, Jean “The Professional” Reno and Jonathan “Creepy bad guy in a lot of movies” Price, Ronin is considered one of the best espionage and car chase films of the last few decades. Shot on location in France, it features a team of hit men and thieves doing some of their most memorable driving in a 1998 (some are convinced it’s a ’99) Audi S8. The movie’s beautifully choreographed gun fights and chase scenes really draw the viewer in more than just your average shoot ‘em up. The film is also very believable, which is more than you can say for Meet The Fockers some of the movies DeNiro has made of late.

Transporter 2

Transporter 2 continues the story of actor turned action hero Jason Statham (or ex-Special Forces Agent Frank Martin in the film) as he drives to protect a small child who is the key to curing a new terrorist virus. And what better way to save a child’s life than in an Audi S8 W12. One of the more memorable scenes in this film features Statham out maneuvering cops in Miami, but not only on land. A drive up 12 stories and through a construction site ends with a face off between Audi and police helicopter…guess who wins.

Transporter 3

We don’t actually know if the car chases will be that amazing in this film for certain, but judging from scenes of an Audi jumping from one train to another, and the fact that Statham’s character can’t be 75 feet from the S8 or else his wrist will explode, we’re betting this is going to be one exciting 90 minute long Audi commercial. Sales will skyrocket after opening weekend. We are wondering how many Audi prop cars were trashed while making this feature.

I, Robot

I, Robot is Will Smith’s attempt at trying to recreate a classic science fiction novel by Isaac Asimov into an action film. Sadly, all the remains between the original book and film are the story’s “Three Laws of Robotics” – A robot must never harm a human, must always obey a human, and it must protect its own existence as long as it does not conflict with laws one and two. These rules don’t extend to the ill fated Audi RSQ concept made for the film, ready to launch by 2035. A classic scene features The Fresh Prince and his Audi against two large delivery trucks full of deranged, malfunctioning robots.
