Audi’s full-size luxury sedan, the A8, returns in the 2008 year with its impressive features and a few new surprises waiting for Audi fans.

The interior of this full-size wonder one of the many wonders this full-size automobile has to offer. Five lucky occupants fit inside the comfortable leather interior. Audi added further insulation for 2008, so the already silent ride of the A8 just got even more non-influenced by external noise. This allows you riders to get the full benefit from the Bose surround sound system, complete with 12 speakers. The driver is allocated Audi’s Multi Media Interface to have a visual display of all of the vehicle’s dynamics. From here, you can see the Audi navigation system, entertainment system, the advanced parking system and more. Another useful feature in the A8 is the rain sensors, which automatically deploy the wipers when rain is detected. All of this can be found inside the climate controlled interior cabin.

The A8 is also equipped with desirable power and performance. The 4.2-L V8 engine produces 350 horsepower; teamed with a six-speed transmission, capable of manual gear selection, this AWD machine can really deliver flawless maneuverability and comfort. This power isn’t given without support, and with 10 airbags, the A8 is very well sheltered. Antilock brakes and an electronic stability system are just icing on the cake. The 2008 year brings further safety with Audi side assist, which alerts the driver of nearby vehicles by signaling a light on the side mirror when a car is adjacent. The new lane assist technology, alerting the driver of an un-signaled lane shift, is also incorporated.

This year the well-renowned A8 L 6.0 Quattro sedan, a supped up version of the A8, now goes by the A8 L W12. This powerful force utilizes a 6.0-L W-12 engine that produces 450 horsepower; it also uses the six-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission. Standard features you’ll find in the A8 L W12 include four-zone automatic climate control, a Parktronic parking system, LED technology for the backlight display (which reduces power consumption), rocker panels and much more. The same safety features keep this upper-level as safe as the base A8.
