Audi R25 Design Concept – Race into the Future
It’s coming up on the 5th annual Design Los Angeles conference. This competition pins automobile engineers and designers from all over the globe (representing most of the major car makes) against one another in a battle to the artistic death! One of this year’s topics is “Motor Sports Vehicles for 2025 – and everyone from Audi to VW want to show you what they think the future will hold for racing. Electric motors, algae-bio fuel and top of the line computer devices are on the top of Audi’s race winning agenda with R25. This aerodynamic Formula One car is designed to take any turn with ease, and possibly not slowing down at all. Its “Dynamic Space Frame” is built for greater flexibility, rigidity and circuit integration. The algae bio-fuel drivetrain is matted to an electric motor capable of on-track wireless energy transfer. So the car doesn’t have to make a fuel pit stop! On board sensors deliver up to the nano-second information on other drivers and course conditions. To bring the excitement on the track straight to fans, HD cameras are mounted on the vehicle, which will feed video to monitors and virtual reality booths.
