An Audi R8 Out of a Mercury Cougar?
Yes, that’s a 2001 Mercury Cougar under the disguise of an Audi R8. It’s creator even had the sense to give it a license plate of “ReplicaAudiR8″ – just in case you were confused. AudiMerc’s wheel base is smaller, the frame is a bit shrunken, and interior design remains mostly Ford based, but you have to admit the body structure is close to perfect when it comes to R8 imitators. Alberto Gavach Fuertes of Spain is the car nut behind this Mercury based Audi – guess he didn’t want to drop over $60,000 on a real one.
